Got stuck in a wall, got pushed below ground while possessing a worm. Wall jump is very unintuitive. Movement is overly slidey for a platformer, I slid off of a wall and got sent a good ten pixels to the left without touching my keyboard.
HOWEVER, I absolutely love the possession mechanic, it definitely has potential for various puzzles (and even a Kirby-style combat mechanic?).
I'm very happy about the way you write the feedback, very precise. It will help me a lot. I'm looking into the stuck in wall bugg and wall jump fix as we speak.
I have plans for the combat mechanics and I will definitely look into Kirbys combat mechanic :) I'm incredibly happy you enjoyed the possession mechanic and again thank you very much for your precise and detailed answer. Your feedback is worth a loth :)
Like the old school feel to the game. The possession mechanic has real potential for some fun puzzles. My only gripe is, as other people have said, is the jumping mechanic. I found myself getting frustrated with getting the timing right. Plus having to press the key in the opposite direction I wanted to wall jump took me a bit to get. I was expecting to have to press the key in the direction I wanted to jump.
Other than that. Enjoyable and a fun throwback to old school platforming.
I thought the wall jumping was excellent and a very difficult thing to get right. That said, I fell off the wall jump before the spikes several times.
Unfortunately, and though I'm a hardened (and old) gamer, it's a bit harder than I could handle. It's a bit Japanese / UK 80s platformer tier difficult :) I would suggest ramping up the difficulty more gradually and possibly include checkpoints (if you didn't already)
I got as far as the spikes where I guess I need to do a mid-air possession to get past - reading eclipse's comment.
alright, it's too hard man :) btw there is a bug with possession - if you posses a caterpillar and will press the D key at the same time - collider of the disabled player will collide with the spikes. There is no clues, how to pass second spikes(before mushroom) and the only way to posses him - is to press e in timing. But cause of the previous bug - you fall into the pit. But the 2d art is good - keep going :)

You're correct, it's a bit unbalanced still. The wall jump is a big problem, and it needs a re-do.
That's a great idea, press against the direction you want to jump. So simple yet I did not think that far.
I'm glad you enjoyed Possession and thank you a ton for the feedback, it's helps a lot :)

Loved the art style and wall jumping, though!
You're correct, the difficulty is a bit unbalanced.
I do not have checkpoints at the moment, it's one level that's pretty short. Due to the difficulty the level seems forever.
My idea was to jump at the end to jump past the spikes, but that did not go as planned and I promise a fix very soon :)
Thank you very much for the feedback, it means a ton to me :)

Yes, you're correct. It's a bit too hard.
I see, my idea was to jump at edge of platform over spikes same time catch coins above platforms.
I must rethink the level a little.
Thank you for your feedback, I genuinely appreciate it
had to give up on this pretty early as the wall jumping is horrible , needs fixing ...
rest of it is good though
I see, do you have any tips on how you would like the mechanics to be?
I appreciate your feedback, it's worth a lot to me :)
